I have never before owned a SatNav and although I am reasonably proficient with IT I have always previously persevered with the old-fashioned map book. But no longer ! This Garmin Nuvi is great. It is clear simple and easy to use. It has a nice big screen and the definition is very good quality.
I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a SatNav.
Excellent budget based SatNav that will match many of its bigger and more costly brothers for ease of use, quality of finish and facilities. Easy, robust window bracket. Blue tooth works well with compatible phones and I found it worked with mine (Samsung G600) which is not on the list. Just be aware that this is the 256W and not the 256WT. WT comes with a lifetime Traffic subscription and the special FM lead to use the Traffic service. This makes the WT about 50 notes dearer. but you can buy them separately for the W afterwards if you want. Also, no need to buy the advertised USB cable with either model as they come in the set. Like all SatNavs. they aren't a substitute for intelligence and the 265W will not know about that new traffic island that was only finished last week, or the fact that the local council have recently dropped the speed limit down a notch. But that applies to all SatNavs.
